- How do you control the camera
from the bottom of the Hi-Pod?
- How much does it cost to have
my game videotaped?
- Can you focus on my child
so I can send it to colleges?
- How good is the Hi-Pod in strong
winds?
- How long does it take to have
the DVD's ready?
- Can I look over
your shoulder while you are taping?
I have total control over the camera at the base of the
Hi-Pod. There is a 6 inch LCD screen that I watch all of the action from.
I can zoom in and out with a variable speed remote control switch. I turn
the camera left, right, up and down by turning and rotating the handle at the
base.
It depends on the sport, and length of game, but ranges
from $12 about $25 per person. Check the DVD
packages for specific pricing.
We have spoken with several college coaches for soccer and
volleyball and they have said they do not want us to focus on 1 player, but
watch the entire game. If we were to focus on 1 player, it becomes very
expensive for 1 parent to cover the cost of us coming out to shoot a game.
Another option we can do is take video you have shot and put together a DVD to
send to colleges. We charge a flat rate of $75/ hour for custom video
projects.
We have videotaped MANY games where the winds were
20 to 30 mph and the Hi-Pod does great. The Hi-Pod is stable, plus there
is also an optical stabilizer in the professional cameras we use which is better
than the standard digital stabilizer in consumer camcorders. Sometimes you
will see the Hi-Pod sway in the wind but when you look at the picture on the LCD
monitor it is rock solid.
Typically about 3 days. But for tournaments, it can
take about 1 to 2 weeks because of so many games covered in a short period of
time.
Yes, feel free to look over my shoulder and ask questions.
But, please don't think I am rude if I don't always respond to your questions
because I have to make sure and get the action.
